²³ Then Amon’s courtiers conspired against him and assassinated the king in his own palace. ²⁴ But the people of the land put to death all the conspirators against King Amon. Then the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place.

²⁵ Now the rest of the deeds of Amon which he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
